Children and Youth
A supervised Crèche is run for the whole of the Sunday morning service for babies and children up to the age of 3. Children can play with a wide variety of toys while their parents attend the service. We also have a short time of reading a Bible story and singing some simple songs.
Children between 3 and 11 (school Year 6) generally stay with us for the first part of our morning services and then go out with their leaders to their own small groups. They enjoy lots of different activities including crafts, singing, games and Bible stories.
Our Sunday Club groups are:
- Scramblers: for pre-school children (age 3-4). Joy is the Scramblers team leader
- Climbers: for children in school years Reception and Y1 (age 4-6). Barney is the Climbers team leader.
- Adventurers: for school Years 2 and 3 (age 6-8). Rhona is the Adventurers team leader.
- Explorers: for children in school years 4-5 (age 8-10). Sarah is the Explorers team leader.
- Pioneers: the oldest Sunday Club group for school year 6 (age 10-11). David and Alice are the Pioneers team leaders.
- All our Sunday Club leaders have full DBS checks.
Sunday Club meets every week unless there is an ‘all-age service’ which, as the name suggests, is designed to be for everyone, or ‘Children’s Activities’ when the children meet together as one group with singing, drama, quizzes, puppets and Bible stories - lots of fun for all!
During the year we also organise several exciting activity days for the different age groups. These give children the chance to get to know each other and their leaders as they play games, share some fun food and hear more about Jesus.
A group for school years 7 to 9 meeting on Sunday mornings and for socials on Friday evenings.

On Sundays, we meet during the second half of both morning services to study the Bible together and think about how it affects our lives today, often through dramas, games and small group discussion.
Fridays 7.30-9pm are a mixture of crazy activities and a chance to think about topical issues. Activities range from bucketball to water fights and the world-famous 'Escape from Alcatraz!'.
Once a year we head out into the depths of Norfolk to a country house for the Pathfinder weekend away. Here we have a chance to learn more about Jesus, get to know one another better and hone our talents in go-karting, pool, table tennis and lots more.
A group for 14s-18s meeting on Fridays, from 7.30 to 9pm.
We meet on Fridays, 7.30-9pm in the main church hall. There's a chance to chill out and play pool, table football, darts and lots of other games. Each week we'll look at a bit of the Bible together. Whatever you think about Jesus, Grafted is a great place to find out what he says and what impact that might have on us. We'll also have one off events, get involved in community action projects and once a year we have our Big Weekend Away.
'Daddy and Me' is an informal playgroup for 0-5 year olds with their dads, granddads, or male carers. We meet on the first Saturday of each month from 10am-12pm in the church hall.
It's a great time to meet new dads in the area, give your significant other a well-deserved rest, and let your kid(s) burn some energy in a safe environment.

First Steps is a group for parents and carers with children up to age four. We provide a safe, friendly and fun environment in which babies and toddlers can play and learn, while parents and carers relax and build friendships.
We meet from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday or Friday mornings during school term time in Christ Church hall.
Due to popularity we do often have a waiting list for both groups, and currently have a waiting list for the Friday group. Once a place becomes available we hope that you can come along as often as possible so we can get to know you and you can feel a sense of belonging in the group. Please do ask to be added to the waiting list.
Also due to the high demand we also ask that families choose either the Wednesday or the Friday group rather than both.
If you would like to enquire about places or the waiting list in either group please email email@example.com and Rachel and Martha will be very happy to help.
