Children and Young people
‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…’ (Mt 28:19)
We prayerfully want our young people to grow in their love and trust of the Lord Jesus and have hearts which would want to reach out to their friends. Jesus, in the Great Commission, calls His disciples to go and make more disciples. As in the passage, we want to grow and equip disciples who make disciples.

First Steps is a group for parents and carers with children up to age four, at 10-11.45am on Fridays and Wednesdays during term time. Our aim is to provide a safe, friendly and fun environment in which babies and toddlers can play and learn, while parents and carers build friendships.
Term dates:
30 April/2 May - 16/18 July
(Half-term so no session 28/30 May)
We look forward to welcoming you to First Steps! Come along and join us for one of our weekly sessions, choose either a Wednesday or a Friday. During each session there will be craft, sensory play, singing, a Bible story, puzzles, ride-ons and a wide range of toys.
There is a suggested donation of £1 per family per session.
If you have any questions, please do send us an email.
A supervised Crèche is run for the whole of the Sunday morning service for babies and children up to the age of 3. Children can play with a wide variety of toys while their parents attend the service. We also have a short time of reading a Bible story and singing some simple songs.
Children between 3 and 11 (school Year 6) generally stay with us for the first part of our morning services and then go out with their leaders to their own small groups. They enjoy lots of different activities including crafts, singing, games and Bible stories. Each half term, we also have an all-age service, where everyone stays in the service throughout and learns from the Bible together.
All our Sunday Club leaders have full DBS checks.
If you would like to know more, please email Fiona.
Family Activity Morning and Holiday Club
Once a term we have a Saturday Family Activity Morning for 0-11s, their families and friends. A time for crafts and games, refreshments, Bible story and singing and time to build friendships amongst families. At Easter we run a fun packed Holiday Club for our primary aged children - a great opportunity to invite friends along. Look out for details of these events on our Events page across the year.
Our Pathfinder (school years 7-9) and Grafted (school years 10-13) groups meet every Friday and Sunday to chill out, chat, have fun and make new friends. We also love to spend time in God’s Word together, discovering more about Jesus and how He impacts our lives today!
Chat to Scott (Youth Worker) on a Sunday or pop him an email if you have any questions.

If you would like to attend please fill out this permission form and contact Scott.
We meet on Fridays in the church hall (7.30- 9pm). Each week we'll look at a bit of the Bible together and chill out. Whatever you think about Jesus, Grafted is a great place to find out what he says and what impact that might have on us.
On Sunday we meet after the 5pm service for some pizza and a chance to dig a little deeper into a range of things; whether that is a book of the Bible, how the Christian faith speaks into different parts of our lives, or other topical things.
WEEKEND AWAY
The Youth Weekend Away is possibly the highlight of the year! Each year we get away for a weekend of great fun together, great activities, great food and some great Bible teaching!
SORTED
Each year a bunch of us head down to London for this youth event which is just an awesome day out!
CAMPS
Every summer our young people have the chance to head off for a week to either Woolie (Pathfinders) or Orwell (Grafted) camps. These are just epic times to meet new people, have loads of fun and spend some brilliant time with God. Reliably one of the best weeks of the year!
