Grow , love, share training tracks
On Sunday evenings in February, we’ll meet upstairs to sing and pray, then head for one of the three following training tracks, each running for the 4 weeks of the month.
We’ll start promptly at 5pm (with refreshments afterwards). Each seminar will be a mix of up-front teaching and more interactive elements, and you can find out about each one below.
Growing in Christ: Reading the Bible for all it’s worth
Would you love to have a richer engagement with the Lord through his Word?
Over four sessions, we'll be helping another to get excited about meeting God in the Bible, both in our personal devotions and in our small groups. We'll be exploring common barriers to personal Bible reading and strategies and resources to help us. We'll be considering how to meditate on God's Word and how to encourage others when we read the Bible together. We'll also looking at a range of Bible study 'tools' and trying them out together, seeing how they can help us to understand the Bible's message better and hear our gracious God speaking through it.

Loving His people: ‘Now what do I say?’ Conversations that care
We will all have lots of conversations in the coming year - some will be mundane and trivial, others significant and important, one or two might even be life changing - either for us or for the person to whom we are talking. What will help us to do those conversations well? In his first letter, Peter tells us that through 'his divine power [God] has given us everything we need for a godly life' (2 Peter 1:3). So, what do we need to know about ourselves and others, and about God and his Word, such that we talk with others in ways that are loving and wise and lead to godly living, both for them and for us? With a mixture of biblical principles and practical pointers, this Training Track will help all of to have more confidence that in our conversations we do know 'what to say next'.

Sharing our hope: Living lives that invite people to Jesus
What if your life were a window, through which anyone and everyone—strangers, colleagues, friends, family—could see the life-giving beauty of Jesus? In this track, we’ll be learning and growing in practical and simple ways to share our hope in daily life. Over four sessions, we’ll think about hospitality, listening, stories and pushback as opportunities to live in a way that shows how inviting, compelling and powerful Jesus is. We’ll be opening up Scripture to learn from Jesus, with plenty of time to discuss, question and practice together.
